If you’ve ever ventured into ‘O’ Malley’s, Kuala Lumpur, or ‘The Randy Leprechaun’, Tenerife, you’ll know the bizarre but undoubted lure of the Irish Pub. In 2017 during a particularly boring day in the office , I came up with the idea of  the Irish pub visiting site PUBLICAN ENEMY, where one man attempts to visit every Irish pub on earth. From these humble beginnings, as of Feb 2025 I have visited  over 95 pubs in 47 countries . But can it actually  be done ? I will give it a bloody good go. And you can read each episode here.

This isn’t really about rating the bars  more just a curious little look at the people , the places, and the context where we find ourselves and these watering holes, from the majestic to the mundane. There will be no ‘Craic-o-meter’ , let me tell you . I might rate the Guinness though , just to act the bollix . As for authenticity, if the hearts are in the right place, that’ll do . So come with me on a potentially endless journey, a homage to pints, bicycles on the wall and indoor road signs . SLAINTE BOYY!!!!
