2018 REVIEW : A Very Good Year

Year 2 of my life-long quest to visit an Irish pub in every country in the world was A Very Good Year for all its dizzying highs and lows of Pub-based chicanery; highlights including but not limited to:

Can -drinking on a cross border international high speed bridge train from Copenhagen to Malmo

Hanging with the Turkish Navy in Malta, debating WW1 tactics under the watchful eyes of Oliver Reed

Spending 2 hours in a Tuk Tuk in Jakarta trying to find ‘Molly Malones’ in a shopping centre and of course ending in Bali , completing a life long dream to meet Paddy the Balinese Leprechaun. Just as I predicted in 2017.

And Irish pub of the year ? Imma say Fagan’s in Malmo just over the Dubliner in Malta

Worst Bar Name : The Spunk Bar , Copenhagen

Shout out to those accomplices over the year who assisted in a variety of ways – Portuguese Man o’ Words Diogo De La Vega Rodrigues Pinto Carvalho Sa Costa III ; Proof reader and legal consultant Chiara C; PA extraordinaire and personal bodyguard Elisa B and this year’s top Irish pub spotters Tatiane and Junior @saimospraviajar , whose awesome travel blog is well worth a look , particularly when they find ‘Paddy’s Pub located up the backside of a mountain in Kathmandu and send me a pic. Bless ye . Finally, shout out to Papa Dalton , who taught me to talk shite
